As a result of the "methamphetamine epidemic" several states have enacted legislation to control use of methamphetamine
Many of these laws focused on restricting access to products that contained pseudoephedrine, which is used for manufacturing Meth and can be found in widely used cold and allergy medicines Oklahoma was the first state to enact this law in 2003, due to the death of a state trooper
