Below are the instructions for Saving and Retrieving Data Models:

If you have used the IEF composer the process for saving and retrieving
data models is the same. For those who are not familiar with IEF, the
steps are as follows

   * Open composer (cool gen)

     File -- Save the model -- on the C: \ drive
     ( in the campus labs it is saved under C:\docs \ model name. ief)

   * Open windows explorer

     Go to c:\ drive
      Click on docs folder . The files will be listed

   * To winzip your project:
     Click on your file using the right side of the mouse ( or open
     winzip and choose the file). From the pull down menu choose 'Add
     to zip'.
     Choose the site where you want the document is to be zipped ( C:\
     or a:\ ) . Give it a file name.zip

   * To Extract your project:
     Click on the drive your project is (c:\ or a:\) in windows explorer

      Choose your project.zip file
     Click the right side of the mouse ( or open winzip and choose the
     file). From. the pull down menu choose extract file and specify the
     path and file where you want it to be save. Remember to save it as
     an *.ief file.

   * Close windows explorer
   * Open composer and click on your model from the list of ief files.
