What We Do
The International House (iHouse) is a headquarters and residence for the international student leaders, as well as a space for intercultural exchange on campus.
International student leaders reach out to welcome new international students to UMSL and promote intercultural interaction between all UMSL students. Each student leader represents the international student population and links them to the resources available on campus and in the community. The student leaders serve in a leadership and mentoring role to all international students and to domestic students seeking to expand their cultural awareness. Responsibilities include planning and publicizing programs, hosting meetings and events, and collaborating with the International House advisors and various student groups.
See the Student Programs page on the left for information about our programs.
In fall 2010, the offices of Residential Life & Housing and International Student & Scholar Services launched the iHouse as a joint venture to strengthen and support the international student community at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The iHouse is located at 8026 Natural Bridge Road, across from Benton Hall and the main campus entrance and next to Normandy United Methodist Church and Preschool.
