Margaret Gottlieb
US Commercial Service
Margaret Gottlieb has been an International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce in St. Louis since January 1997. She has been a member of the Trade Americas Team throughout her career in the Commercial Service. In 2003 she served as a National Team Leader and, in 2004 and 2005 served as the Central America/Caribbean Working Group Leader, and the Country Liaison for Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Prior to joining the U.S. Commercial Service, she was an International Trade Specialist with the Missouri Department of Economic Development for four years and an Export Sales Manager for a local trading company for five years. She has traveled to over twenty countries promoting Missouri business. In addition she has worked three years in banking, one year in travel and tourism, and two years teaching foreign language.
Margaret is a Certified Global Business Professional. She holds a BA in Political Science and Spanish from Southeast Missouri State University. She is fluent in German as well. Her other specializations include business/partner development, client outreach, event planning, the import/export process, and public speaking.
