English 5950: Studios and Stars/American Cinema of the 1930s and 1940s

Please post on the appropriate MyGateway Discussion Board according to the following schedule. “Posters” can continue the previous week’s discussions, comment on or ask questions about the new reading or viewing (so long as you suggest an answer those questions too)—all topics are open to you—and you should try to frame your observations in a way that will invite further conversation. Length is negotiable, but your post should be substantial—at least 250 words.

Responders must reply to at least two posts. Resters are of course not prohibited from participating; remember that the usual classroom guidelines about civility and collegiality apply online as well.
