Comprehensive Exams I recently completed my comprehensive exams and have joined Anand Jeyarai and Charles Chowa as the first PhD candidates at UMSL for the MIS PhD. Program. I completed a supporting field exam in Organizational Behavior and a two day intensive comprehensive exam in the MIS domain. I also completed a separate take home portion of the exam and I will now be concentrating on my dissertation. |
Congratulations My two sons, Chris and Tim were recently selected to attend academic and leadership programs this summer. Tim will attend the Joseph Baldwin Academy in Kirksville Missouri for three week were he will take a course in Chemistry while living on campus in Kirksville. This should be fun for a young man that is getting ready to graduate from middle school. Chris has been selected to attend the National Student Leadership Conference in Washington DC. Chris will be participating with students from all over the nation in a course on leadership and our U.S. Legal System. |

Amy Amy is doing well in third grade and has a great talent for Art and has the best cursive writing that I have seen. She puts her two older brothers to shame. She has a love for reading and recently completed the Harry Potter series of books; not to bad for a 2nd Grader. Her newest discovery is the old Nancy Drew series. That should keep her busy for a while. |
Favorite Restaurant of the Week This section I reserved for my favorite restaurant of the week. While I do not eat out every week I like to take my wife and kids out at least twice a month to give the cook a break. PF Changs is the ROW! They have the best oriental food in the St. Louis region and while the ambiance is that of an expensive restaurant I was pleasantly surprised that the fabulous food was reasonably priced. While it is not the cheapest restaurant in tow the food and the atmosphere was well worth the price. |
