Sam (Shuhan) Lin

    Sam (Shuhan) Lin was interested and started to practice South Shaolin Kung Fu when he was very young. In 1968 he learned Tai Chi from Mr. Xu Qin Shen. Mr. Xu was a student of grand master Fu Zheng Song during the 1940s and 1950s. Mr. Lin learned and practiced Taichi, Lingyi, Bagu and other Fu Style Kung Fu with Mr. Xu until 1989. Then Sam came to the USA and settled down in St. Louis, Missouri.

    Sam has been teaching Tai Chi in University City (St. Louis area) since 1992 and at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) since 2002. In addition, Sam is a Chinese herbalist and acupuncturist. He is heir of his father and grandfather who were famous Chinese doctors in South China Chaozhou City. Sam set up and ran the first Chinese medicine store in St. Louis, “ORIENTAL GINSENG AND GIFTS”, in 1992.
