Objective:
This course covers some basic conceptual and procedural topics related
to providing useful information
for management to assist in guiding and controlling te operations of the
firm. Product costing for financial
reporting purposes is also included as a major focus of the course. Emphasis
is placed on reasonning,
not on memorization. It is expected that you will further develop analytical
skills through problem-solving
and thoughful participation in class discussion as part of the preoparation
for a professional career.
Prerequisite: 57 earned credits, BA145 with a grade of C-or better, Math30 with a grade of C- or better

Class Procedure:
For each topic studied, you are asked to read a chapter in the textbook
or other material and the instructor will
lecture on the topic in class. You are expected to solve all the assigned
problems in preparation for class and to
contribute to their solution in class as they are discussed. A copy of the
solutions manual is on reserve in the
Thomas Jefferson Library.
