Ramakrishnan
My name is Archana Ramakrishnan. I completed B. Sc. in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry securing First Class from Ramnarain Ruia College affiliated to the University of Mumbai in the year of 2001. I continued with my studies and obtained my Master’s in Organic Chemistry from the same College, where I was awarded a two-year scholarship. After my successful graduation in 2003, I worked as a research trainee in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai for two months before joining the Ph. D. program here at UM – St. Louis in January 2004. My interest is in Medicinal Chemistry made my inclination in learning about carbohydrates and, thereby, I joined the Glycoworld in March 2004.
