Papapida
Pornsuriyasak

My name is Papapida Pornsuriyasak. I was born in Bangkok,
Thailand. I finished my undergraduate program from Chulalongkorn University in
the major of Chemistry and continued my Master degree in Applied Polymer
Science and Textile Technology. My senior research project was entitled
"Study of some Crown Ether Compounds". As a result,
Dibenzo-18-crown-6 and Dibenzo-21-crown-7 were synthesized and used as the
phase transfer catalysts. My next research was "Chemical Modification of
Cellulose Fiber to Improve the Dyeability of Reactive Dyestuffs". During
these studies, triazinyl chloride derivative was synthesized and applied to
cellulose in order to increase its affinity to the reactive dyestuffs. After my
graduation, I started my job at Aswin Dyeing and Finishing Co., Ltd,
Kanchanaburi province, in the position of the section head of dyeing department
for 4 years.
