Instructions to Install InfoMaker 5.0.04 Fixes

 

The fixes for InfoMaker are on UMSL-SERVER1 in the M:\InfoFix directory.  The following instructions will lead you through the process of applying the fixes.

 

 

 

 

 

1.                  Please close all applications before running the InfoMaker Fix setup. Click Start, Run, 

type M:\InfoFix\setup32 and click OK.

 

 

 

2.                  Click Install Product.  Click Next.

 

3.                  The Choose Operating System screen appears.  Click 32-bit-long names.  Click Next.

 

 

 

 

4.                  Select the default directory c:\Program Files.  Click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

5.                  Click to select InfoMaker 5.0.04 fixes for Intel 32.  There should be a check mark to the   left of the InfoMaker 5.0.04 Fixes for Intel 32.  Highlight the InfoMaker 5.0.04 by clicking on it and then Click Details.

 

 

6.                  Click all the boxes and HighLight the Native Drivers. Then click Details.

 

 

 

7.                  Click Select All then OK.  Then select Ok again on the Fixes screen.

 

 

 

8.                  Click Next on the Products Available screen

 

 

 

9.                  Select Overwrite all and click Next.

 

 

10.              Select Merge and click next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

11.              Check Install now and click next

 

 

 

 

 

12.              You will receive the following message, “Please shut down other applications before the installation begins.  Click OK when you are ready to proceed.”  Make sure all other programs are closed.  Click OK.  InfoMaker will begin to install the fixes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

13.              A message will appear that says, “Please insert the following disk (or type the new path) and press Enter: Powersoft 32-bit Dlls”.  Type the following path: M:\infofix\pb32\common.  Click OK.

 

 

 

 

14.              A message will appear that says, “Please insert the following disk (or type the new path) and press Enter: Powersoft 32-bit Help Files”.  Type the following path M:\infofix\pb32\help. Click OK.

 

 

 

 

15.              A message will appear that says, “Please insert the following disk (or type the new path) and press Enter: 5.5.03 SQLANY50 files”.  Type the following path: M:\infofix\pb32\sqlany50.  Click OK.

 

 

 

16.              Setup has installed the following application.  Click Next.

 


 


17.              Click to Update files.  Click Next.

 


 


18.              Setup has completely install the InfoMaker 5.0.04 fixes.  Click Finish.

 


 

 

 


19.              In order for the changes to take effect, you need to reboot your machine.  Click OK.

 

 


 

 

 


20.              Restart your pc.  Click Start, Shut Down, Restart.  Click OK.  Once the pc has restarted, the changes will be updated.
