2010 Dates and Costs

Dates
Students and volunteers (auditors) can register for one of the following two sessions (approximate dates; final dates will be posted in November 2009 and may fluctuate slightly):
  • Session I: May 28 - June 17
  • Session II June 17 - July 7

Estimated costs for each session*
(*approximate; final amount will depend on currency exchange rates and total number of participants)

  1. Program Fees: $2,690.00

  2. The program fees include:
    • accommodation in air-conditioned rooms with TV and private baths (double occupancy); most rooms (assigned on a first-come first-served basis) have breathtaking views of the Bay of Navarino (you can also visit the hotel's website for more information and images).
    • buffet breakfast and full four-course dinner every day
    • entrance fees to archaeological sites and museums
    • all travel to archaeological sites and museums and daily transportation to and from the dig sites
    • archaeological support
    • all trips to the beautiful sandy beaches of the area
    • health insurance

  3. Plus one of the following two fees:
    1. Tuition fees: $1,500 for Six (6) credit hours (approximate; precise amount will be set by the university in the spring)
    2. OR

    3. Auditing fees: $1,590
      For members of the public (non-students) who wish to come. Ages 18-88 are welcome.
Fee Payment Schedule and Financial Aid
A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to secure a spot in the project. Applications, including deposits, will be accepted until all spots have been filled. The balance of fees is due by May 1, 2010. If you are a UM-St. Louis student admitted to the project, you are guaranteed a scholarship through the Center for International Studies.
