Pernell Witherspoon, Ph.D. Candidate
Pernell served 16 years as a police officer with
St. Louis Metropolitan, Hazelwood, MO, and Roswell, GA Police Departments.
He worked 5 years as an undercover narcotics agent. Currently, Pernell
works as an Assistant Professor at Lindenwood University in the
Criminal Justice Department.
Pernell's dissertation addresses racial profiling in Missouri. His
other areas of specialization include policing, juvenile justice,
and race relations in the criminal justice system.
