Ph.D. Student Bio & Interests
Krystle Leugoud
Krystle received her Master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 2008. She began the Ph.D. program in 2007. She graduated from The University of Missouri – Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Sociology, in which she achieved Departmental Honors.
Her research interests include issues of social justice, wrongful convictions, legal legitimacy, corrections and offender reentry challenges, qualitative research, drugs/alcohol and addiction, and policing. She spent two years as a graduate research assistant on the National Evaluation of the G.R.E.A.T. Program under Dr. Finn-Aage Esbensen. Krystle now works with Dr. Jody Miller so as to be able to focus on qualitative research.
