Mike Cherbonneau
Mike entered the UMSL CCJ Ph.D. program in 2005
after completing an M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from
the University of Alabama-Birmingham. His research interests include situational and interactional influences on street offending, perceptual deterrence, and the situational and social context of violence and violent events.
With Dr. Richard Wright, Michael's current research explores the ways in which presently active auto thieves perceive the environment of the crimes, focusing on the range of factors they take into account when contemplating and carrying out their misdeeds.
