For Intermediate Algebra (0005), a Math Placement score of 12 is needed. If you have a 22 or higher on the ACT math sub-score, or have earned at least a "C" in Intermediate Algebra at a 2-year or 4-year college, you would not need to take the UMSL Math Placement test to take an introductory math course, such as, Contemporary Math (1020) or College Algebra (1030). Score requirements for these courses and others may be found on the following web page: http://www.cs.umsl.edu/Schedule/math-prereqs.html
