In order to enroll in entry-level college Mathematics courses, a student must demonstrate appropriate mathematical knowledge and skills. Depending upon the course, there are multiple ways of demonstrating this knowledge.

The following table provides the current math placement requirements for the indicated courses.

Math 0005

>=30% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1020

A score of 22 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test; or a grade of C or better in a two or four year college intermediate algebra course; or >=46% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1021

A score of 22 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test, or a grade of C or better in a two or four year college intermediate algebra course, or >=46% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course. 

Math 1030

A score of 22 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test; or a grade of C or better in a two or four year college intermediate algebra course; or >=51% on ALEKS,  obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1035

A grade of C- or higher in Math 1030 or concurrent registration, or

a score of 26 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test, or

>=61% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1100
Math 1105

26 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test,
or either of

C- or higher in Math 1030 (30) [or equivalent], or

>=61% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1102

26 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test,
or either of

C- or higher in Math 1030 [or equivalent], or

>=56% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1150

45 hours of college credit and one of the following:
26 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test, or
C- or higher in Math 1030 [or equivalent], or
>=51% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1310

26 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test,
or either of

C- or higher in Math 1030 (30) [or equivalent], or

>=51% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

Math 1800

C- or higher in Math 1030  and Math 1035 [or equivalent], or

>=76% on ALEKS, obtained in the proctored environment at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.
