QUESTION: What if I can’t make it to the meetings? |
ANSWER: Meeting minutes are posted on MyGateway, so you can read about what went on. If you have a question, or would like to be involved, please email an officer and arrangements can be made to help you. |
QUESTION: What is test check-out? |
ANSWER: Copies of old tests from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics classes can be checked out from the Bio Club office. These tests are intended as study tools only, and you must be a paid member to check them out. Tests can only be checked out one at a time and kept for 24 hours; keeping them longer may result in the loss of check-out privileges. All tests were donated by students, and we may not have every class (although we do have a lot). Tests can be donated by contacting the Bio Club office and dropping off up to three copies. |
QUESTION: What is the “points system?” |
ANSWER: For every event that a member attends, they earn points. Points are also earned by donating old tests (up to three copies), donating food for meetings or events, and working club activities. Points are added up at the end of the school year, and a party is held for active members. |

QUESTION: What does the Bio Club/Tri-Beta do for me? |
ANSWER: The Bio Club and Tri-Beta are not only fun organizations to be involved in, they may also help you with your career or graduate school. Employers and college admissions people want candidates who are involved in their campus and their community. These clubs provide great opportunities for involvement, and provide ways for you to meet people in science careers, who may be able to help you as you advance in your education. |
