Surfing the Web--you are number
BA103--"Surfing the Web" with Netscape Browser

--also Read the book on WWW and Netscape.
I don't know of a way to do this in other browsers, so we will do it in Netscape as an example of how to work with bookmarks and make link pages from them.
THIS DOESN'T WORK in Microsoft's browser! You must do it with netscape.

Here are some interesting sites to look at. Browse and make a bookmark file on your A: disk called your_name.htm. make sure it's not named bookmarks.htm, or I'll get 95 of them and not be able to tell who did it.
Add bookmarks for about 20 sites. use these sites if you want and at least five others of your own choosing.
save the bookmark file by going to bookmarks/edit bookmarks (Bookmarks /Manage Bookmarks in Netscape 7+)
be sure you are in the edit window and go to file /saveAs (Tools/export in Netscape 7+)
save the bookmark file someplace where you can find it, then
Email the bookmark file  named your_name.htm to me as an attachment using your favorite email system. Thus, your bookmark file should have about 25-30 bookmarks in it to get credit. Look at the bookmark file by opening it in Netscape before you send it, so you are sure you have the right thing. Don't email a bunch of webpages.  The video shows how to save the bookmark file and reopen it to see that you have the right thing.  Note the Video shows earlier versions of Netscape, so note the small differences in menu structure, above.
This is not a hard or a long exercise. Please do it yourself. If you submit something that has other people's information instead of yours, then both parties may be denied credit. Have fun and let me know about anything interesting you find.
