The Barbara St. Cyr and Faculty Scholarship
The Barbara St. Cyr and Faculty Scholarship has been established in the memory of a former UMSL Art History major and faculty member and is funded by the Barbara St. Cyr memorial and contributions from the Art and Art History Faculty. It seeks to benefit students pursuing their studies in studio art, art history, and art education. This award is non-renewable.

In 2009-10, one scholarship of $600.00 for the academic year will be awarded.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Be currently enrolled as a studio art, art history, or education major
  2. Have a grade point average of at least 3.0
  3. Enroll for at least 6 hours each semester during 2009-2010.

To apply, submit one collated copy of:

  1. The scholarship application cover sheet (available in 506 Lucas and FAB Office.)
  2. A 300-500 word letter describing your academic and professional goals and the impact that this scholarship will have on your future plans
  3. A current transcript
  4. A letter of reference from a department faculty member

The William T. Isbell Scholarship
The William T. Isbell Scholarship was established in memory of William T. Isbell II, a former UMSL art history major.

In 2009-2010 two scholarships of $1250.00 for the academic year will be awarded.

Preference will be given to St. Louis area high school graduates. The scholarship is renewable on a competitive basis after the sophomore year.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Be a full-time undergraduate studio art or art history major.
  2. Have a grade point average of at least 2.5
  3. Enroll for at least 12 hours each semester in 2009-20010

To apply, submit one collated copy of:

  1. Scholarship application cover sheet (available in 506 Lucas and FAB Office)
  2. A 300-500 word letter describing your academic goals and the impact that this scholarship will have on your future plans
  3. A current transcript
  4. A letter of reference from a department faculty member
