Aronson Scholarship

These scholarships, which are intended to further and support excellence in the study of art history, are awarded each year to art history majors who can show a strong commitment to the field, especially those who intend to pursue their studies of the discipline in graduate school. The precise number and amount of scholarships is announced each year early in the second semester; the application deadline is typically in early March. Typically there are two scholarships of $2000.00 each. To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements:

• Be an art history major 
• Have a junior standing with a grade point average of 3.2 
• Enroll for at least 12 hours each semester during the period in which the scholarship is awarded

Barbara St. Cyr Scholarship
One scholarship has been established in the memory of a former UM-St. Louis Art History major and faculty member. It is funded by the Barbara St. Cyr memorial and seeks to benefit students pursuing their studies in studio art, art history, and art education. The amount of the scholarship is announced each year early in the second semester. In 2007-2008 it was $400.00. 
To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements: 

• Be a studio art, art history, or art education major 
• Have a grade point average of at least 3.0 
• Enroll for at least 6 hours each semester during the period in which the scholarship is awarded

William T. Isbell Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of William T. Isbell II, a former UMSL art history major. The number and amount of the scholarships are announced each year early in the second semester. The deadline is usually in early March. Typically there are two scholarships of $1000.00 each. Preference is given to St. Louis area high school graduates. The scholarship is renewable on a competitive basis. 
To qualify for the scholarship, students must fulfill the following requirements: 

• Be a studio or art history major 
• Have a grade point average of at least 2.5 
• Enroll for at least 12 hours each semester in the period in which the scholarship is awarded
