(4) WEB QUESTS:

1.     Well-defined, goals-based projects such as Web Quests require students to collect, synthesize, process, assemble, and communicate information and understandings.  Each web quest is ³built around a task which provides a context and motivating goal for student work and which focuses on using information rather than (just) looking for it.²(Salpeter 2003)

2.     TRACKSTAR projects meet these criteria.

(5) LIMITATIONS:

A group of students who are equally unfamiliar with the concept being taught duplicate and reinforce each other¹s mistakes.  Students who rely too much  on the assistance of their colleagues may excessively interrupt and divert their attention, and slow the progress of the group.²(Long 2003)
