  EGYPTIAN E-CARDS Write with hieroglyphics
During the last 4 weeks, students explored how mathematics served as a
universal language for people across the globe while tying in the
content of factors, divisibility, and multiples, fractions and tree
diagrams, decimals and exponents, triangles and equations. Students
also created and maintained as their Module Project a Secret Code Book
which reinforced that in math, as with all languages, knowing the keys
to decipher the language must be looked upon positively as an
intriguing puzzle to unravel - a puzzle that will challenge at times,
elude at times, and give one an overwhelming sense of accomplishment
upon decryption!
Next students will explore art that "moves" and the geometry, number,
and algebra concepts on which it is based. Parents can help their
students make connections to the upcoming Module 4-The Art of Motion by
seeing a silent movie or observing how many diverse cultures use
artistic techniques that are much the same.
