Leanica’s hometown is Jacksonville, Illinois, a small town about 30 minutes outside Springfield. She is majoring in International Business and minoring in German. When Leanica moved to St. Louis, she didn’t know many people and not a whole lot about the area. She joined Alpha Xi Delta in the fall of 2006, and has since held the position of Recording Secretary and Financial VP. Leanica says that joining Alpha Xi Delta has helped her in many ways, including getting her more involved on campus and in the community. She admits that when she first came to UMSL she never imagined joining a sorority, but she says now that joining Alpha Xi was the best thing she could have done her first year of college.
