What is Sisterhood?

Have you ever felt like you just really needed someone to talk to? Someone who would listen to your problems and be genuinely concerned for your happiness? A friend you could depend on though thick and thin, rain or shine? Well, how about having a whole family of them?

That is just what you will get when you become a sister of the Epsilon Xi Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta here at UM- St. Louis. The meaning of sisterhood in Alpha Xi Delta is that you will always have someone to turn to, a shoulder to lean on, and an ear to listen. It means being part of an extended family who, throughout the years, become life long friends and literally, sisters.

You are becoming part of a group that not only makes you stand out in the crowd as a part of something special and unique, but also as an individual. You will find yourself surrounded by women who, just like yourself, are looking for friendship and motivation and a place to grow.

Anyone can make friends, but how many people can become true sisters?
