Confirm Your Enrollment
Once you have been admitted to UMSL you still have a few major steps to complete before you are ready for your first day of classes:
Log In: Use your SSO ID and Password to log in to UMSL’s MyView and MyGateway systems. Here you will find a wealth of information on course registration, financial aid, and billing (MyView) and on your classes, student organizations, and academics (MyGateway). Be sure to click the “I Agree” button on the e-consent page to gain full access. For further assistance, please contact the UMSL Help Desk at (314) 516-6034.
Activate your UMSL Student Email: UMSL uses Windows Live as the official campus communication tool and most of your correspondences with the University will be via email. So Log In, activate your account, and check it often. For assistance with your student email, please contact the UMSL Help Desk at (314) 516-6034.
Confirm your Enrollment: Let UMSL know that you plan to attend by confirming your enrollment and paying a fee.
Meet with your Academic Advisor to Register for Classes: All new UMSL students are required to meet with an academic advisor in their area of study to be able to schedule there first semester of classes. The advisor will also cover with you how your credit has transferred, how far into your degree you are, and what classes you will still have to complete. Contact your Academic Advising Office to schedule an appointment.
Apply for Financial Aid: Now you are admitted to UMSL, it’s the perfect time to find out what kind of financial assistance we can offer. Please contact our Office of Financial Aid for information on completing or updating your FAFSA, applying for scholarship, and other financial aid assistance.
Complete Transfer Student Orientation: All new UMSL students are required to either attend an in-person Student Orientation or complete the online orientation. Register for a Transfer Student Orientation session and come learn everything there is to know about your new academic home. For more information, please contact our Office of New Student Programs at (314) 516-5291.
Apply to Live on Campus: If you are going to be living on campus, then you will want to begin the application process for housing to reserve your spot for the upcoming semester. Please contact the Office of Residential Life to apply.
Get us your Final Transcripts: Lastly, if you are still in classes at another school, do not forget to have you final transcripts sent once grades have been posted. Office transcripts must be mailed to the following address:
