Secure Socket Layer Windows Instructions

Secure Pop Outlook Express

1. Click on Tools -> Accounts
2. Click on the Mail Tab and select your account
3. Click on Properties
4. Click on the Advanced Tab
5. Make sure there is a checkmark next to “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” under “Incoming mail (POP3)”.
6. Click OK.

Secure IMAP Outlook Express:

1. Click on Tools -> Accounts
2. Click on the Mail Tab and select your account
3 .Click on Properties
4. Click on the Advanced Tab
5.Make sure there is a checkmark next to “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” under “Incoming Mail(IMAP)”
6. Click OK

Secure POP and IMAP Eudora Settings:

1. Click Tools -> Options
2. Select “Checking Mail” in the Category.
3. Make sure under “Secure Sockets when Receiving” that “Required, Alternative Port” is selected from the drop-down menu.
