There are currently two webcast channels available all the time at UM-St. Louis:
Higher Education Channel
The Higher Education Channel is an open cable channel that has been on the air in St. Louis County and City since 1987. The Higher Education Consortium of Metropolitan St. Louis, a regional consortium of eleven member colleges and universities, programs the channel and provides telecourses for more than 2,400 students each semester.
The Research Channel is a consortium of research universities and corporate research divisions dedicated to broadening the access to and appreciation of individual and collective activities, ideas, and opportunities in basic and applied research.
The Research Channel features interviews and documentaries produced by nationally known authors, researchers, artists and lecturers on many subjects: Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Engineering and Computer Science, Health and Medicine, K-12 and Education, Science and Social Sciences. The Research Channel gives us an opportunity to have a greater awareness of what research is being done at other universities across the nation. An online Research Channel Video Library is also available and has thousands of instructional video clips.
