On Campus Calls

Dial last 4 digits of telephone number. There is no charge for on-campus calls

Local Calls

In the 314 area code, dial 9 +7 digit telephone number. For local numbers in the 636 area code, dial 9 + 636+ 7 digit telephone number. There is no charge for local calls

Long Distance

Domestic

• Faculty/Staff: Dial 9 +1 + area code + number. There is a charge per call. The personal long distance call policy applies

• Residential Students: Please use your pre-paid/stored value calling card. Dial-around calling is not allowed. You are responsible for all calls made from your phone extension even if you did not place the call.  

International

• Faculty/Staff: Dial 9 + 011 + county code + city code + number. There is a charge per call. The personal long distance call policy applies

• Residential Students: Please use your pre-paid/stored value calling card. Wait for dial tone, and then dial 9 + 011+ country code + city code + number.

Toll Free (800/888) Calls
Dial 9 +1 + 800 + number, 9 +1 + 877 + number, or 9 +1 + 888 + number. There is no charge for an 800/877/888 call.

Pre-Paid Calling Card

Residential students: Please purchase a pre-paid/stored value calling card and follow the access directions with your card for domestic and international long distance calls.

Personal Long Distance Call Policy (applies to University employees)

Personal long distance telephone calls are not to be charged to University telephones. "Personal" includes telephone calls made in relation to consulting by a University employee for which that employee receives compensation.

University employees shall use a telephone credit card for any personal long distance calls placed from a University telephone.
