Moving or Reassigning a Phone

Moving a Phone to Another Location

Requesting to move a phone from one location to another can easily be done by logging into the Remedy Request system and completing the Computer/Phone Move request form.  The form allows for requesting for yourself or on behalf of someone else.  Please collect the following information before submitting a request form:

  • serial number of computer (if applicable; otherwise enter "n/a")
  • current building
  • current room
  • current data port number (if accessible)
  • new building
  • new room
  • new data port number (if accessible)
  • phone extension

Many ShoreTel IP phones also have a computer connected to them.  If the computer will need to be moved as well, please have the serial number of the computer to be moved ready when submitting a request form.

Changing a Phone to a New or Different Employee

Requesting to reassign a phone to another employee can easily be done by logging into the Remedy Request system and completing the Computer/Phone Changing User request form.  The form allows for requesting for yourself or on behalf of someone else.  Please collect the following information before submitting a request form:

  • serial number of computer (if applicable; otherwise enter "n/a")
  • current building
  • current room
  • phone extension

Many ShoreTel IP phones also have a computer connected to them. If the computer will need to be reassigned as well, please have the serial number of the computer to be reassigned ready when submitting a request form.

Other Changes

To change options on your ShoreTel phone, please log in with your SSO id and password.  Available options include:

  • Change appearance of first/last name
  • Request voicemail to be sent to email as a WAV file
  • Request a "0 revert" number
  • Request call forwarding to an external number
