You can select to export certain course materials from one MyGateway course to the other (e.g. documents, settings and tools.) No student interaction is preserved.

To Export Course:

  • Navigate the course you want to export in MyGateway.

  • In the Control Panel, click Packages and Utilities.

  • Select Export/Archive Course.

  • Click the Export button.

  • Select the course materials you want to export to a different MyGateway course.

  • Click Submit. You will receive an email message from your MyGateway course indicating if the course Export has been completed successfully or not. Once you receive this message, go back to the MyGateway course site.
  • In the Control Panel select Packages and Utilities.

  • Select Export/Archive Course.

  • The export file will appear in the window that follows.

  • Right mouse click on the file name and choose Save Target As. Choose a local drive to save the file.
  • Go back to MyGateway and navigate to the MyGateway course site you want to import the packaged file.

  • Under Packages and Utilities select Import Package/View Logs.

  • Click the import package button.

  • Click the browse button in Step 2 to locate the file you exported.

  • For Option 3 select the items you want to import into the new course.

  • Click Submit. You will receive an email message from your MyGateway course indicating whether the import was successful or not.
