Expo LX

Teams LX

Journal LX

These three learning extensions are great additions to the course management system. These learning tools foster active learning, facilitate collaboration, and expand channels for student-instructor interaction.

Expo LX
Each user of the course management platform is provided an Expo site that appears as a link on their portal page.  Within the Expo site, the user can create and maintain their own multipaged website and blog.  With the full-text editor, users can design and display a collection of content, including text, images, and links to external sites.  The sites can be shared with the campus community via Blackboard's portal system. Teams LX
Teams LX enhances online colloboration between students.  For the first time, instructors can organize students into groups and assign each group to jointly author a dynamic website with multi-media content.  When the Teams site is done, instructors can view each group member's contributions and grade them accordingly. Journal LX
With Journal LX, instructors can create blogs in which students can gather information and reflect on course-related topics and assignments.  Students can review and comment on their peers' postings, and instructors can participate with students in the evolving dialog.
