TEC Training
Spring 2008 Teaching w/ Technology Orientations
Instructional Computing provides training sessions to all faculty and
staff using the Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TEC).
Please assist us by making sure all department members are aware of
these valuable training sessions.
The following is an outline of the information covered:
- Outlook and the scheduling of rooms
- Policies & Procedures
- Instructor station and projector system operation
- Data storage options (K: drive, MyGateway, CD-R/RW, flash memory drives)
- Faculty Resource Center (FRC) & other services available
- Introduction to Lan School workstation monitoring system (Rooms with student workstations only)
- Basic operation of Apple's Mac Pro and OS X (CCB 107, Marillac Hall GO8B)
- Personal Laptop use in Classrooms
- Projecting DVDs and VHS media
- Opening Microsoft office files in MyGateway
- Smart sympodium/board
- Software changes and updates
The training sessions are designed to familiarize the professor with the technology and help them take advantage of the benefits it has to offer. Training sessions are held just prior to the start of each semester as well as by appointment.
