Grading Participation in Discussion Groups

Foltz: .For students to receive full credit for class participation, of which part of their grade for that is participating in the online discussion, they have to post a minimum of two responses or two discussions per week. And I keep track of that. I've always threatened to grade them in terms of their content, but that's really hard. .So, in terms of grading it, it's a yes or a no. Did they post the two or not? But, in terms of grading content, I found that really difficult, and too subjective. I just didn't do it, and I've not done it.
