Hartmann on Successful Teaching (1:01)

Hartmann: In order to be successful in that educational encounter, we must know, we must be aware as an instructor of those differences.  In other words, how my style of teaching is perceived, whether it’s effective or not in terms of each of the culturally differences displayed by the learners.  It could be that the style that I use or my preferred mode of teaching is not culturally relevant, or is not as effective as to what is preferred by the learners.  So in order for us to be successful instructors, we need to consider those cultural differences in terms of learning styles and of course, communication styles.
