Pipeline to Public Office
What is Pipeline?
Pipeline to Politics is a non-partisan program designed to help individuals enter the pipeline to political office and hone valuable career and management skills by working on grassroots issues and political campaigns.
Sponsored by the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life, this timely two-day workshop will prepare participants for the 2010 campaign election cycle and will teach organization and communication skills that can be applied every day. Faculty members include Democratic and Republican women who have held elective office and managed successful political issue and candidate campaigns.
Who Should Attend? You Should If:
- You want to make a difference in your community by participating in issue and candidate campaigns.
- You are interested in running for your local school board, city council, state legislature, or other political office.
- You want to "get involved" but aren't sure how. Come find out how working in a campaign can improve work and management skills, introduce you to interesting people, and improve the quality of life in your community.
