The UM-St. Louis Alumni Association was founded in 1967
to promote the interests of alumni and the welfare of the
University. The Association currently represents nearly
60,000 graduates in 16 chapters across the country.
Major activities include sponsoring of major University events including
the annual Founder's Dinner, where the Distinguished Alumni Awards
are presented as well as career-oriented networking
programs for recent graduates and students; the annual Distinguished
Speaker Series; fund raising for scholarships; and lobbying
on behalf of the University. Members also participate
in numerous events tailored for their specific academic
area of interest.
The Alumni Association offers a wide range of social, professional,
and educational benefits as well. Several new graduate
receptions are sponsored by the alumni chapters and annual
receptions are sponsored by alumni chapters, departments,
and the Alumni Association. For additional information about

Seven scholarships are available through the Student Financial
Aid office: Legacy Scholarships for children of alumni,
and the President’s Award for incoming freshmen, Kathleen T. Osborn
Scholarship for students with outstanding leadership skills,
and the African-American Alumni Chapter Scholarship for an African
American upperclassman, the Future Alumni Leader award for a STAT
member in good standing, the newly endowed Education Alumni Chapter
Scholarship for need-based students in the College of Education and the
UMSL African American Alumni Chapter Scholarship #2 for need-based

The University of Missouri - St. Louis Alumni Center is located across
from Woods Hall at 7956 Natural Bridge Road in Bel-Nor. The Center is housed
in a charming 75 year old building accommodating small conferences, student
organization meetings, seminars, planning retreats and social events for UMSL
departments, alumni groups and the general public.
