Residential Life
On-Campus Housing Options

Living on campus has both academic and social benefits. The closeness of libraries, labs, student events and activities, faculty and administrative offices, and other student services is a clear advantage. If you are interested in living on campus, you have some options available to you. What is important is that you make the best decision that fits your needs from the options available. Both options support the campus Parental Notification Policy and have rules and regulations that must be followed; a copy of which can be obtained from either office.

The Office of Residential Life offers a choice of on-campus housing opportunities to all undergraduate and graduate students. Whether it is in one of our residence halls or in one of the apartments in Mansion Hills or University Park, students can enjoy the convenience and comfort of campus housing. The residence halls are air-conditioned and completely furnished, including computer ports, local phone, and microfridges. The hall amenities include cable television lounges, computer lab, kitchenettes, and on-site laundry facilities. Residential Hall students have a required meal plan that is $740 per semester (fall and winter only) and are pleased to begin weekend meal services in the Provincial House dining room.

Mansion Hills/University Park Apartments are located adjacent to the campus and offer one- and two-bedroom units for students who are 21 and older and/or married, and/or families with small children. These unfurnished units offer dishwashers, ceiling fans, a recreational area, pool, and laundry facilities. Rent is billed to the student's University account. Apartment students have a required meal plan of $200 per semester (fall and winter only).

The Residence Halls Association (RHA) serves as the governing body and the voice of the residential students. Through its committees and programming, RHA provides residents opportunities for leadership and involvement, within the residential community and the larger campus community.

Residential programming is entertaining, diverse, and runs from the casual to the formal. From Ms. RHA and "Haunted Hall" to the annual semi-formal RHA Superlative Awards, residents enjoy a variety of social and educational activities such as movie night, dances, special dinners, and trips to many of St. Louis's best known attractions.

University Meadows Student Community is not your average apartment complex.  "The Meadows" is a residence hall that is styled like an apartment complex. Most students have found that University Meadows is a great transitional living place that helps build the skills necessary to live on their own when they graduate.

All students are welcome to live at University Meadows. University Meadows offers individual lease liability, which means that a student rents a bed-space in an apartment and shares the common area in that unit with others. University Meadows offers convenient accommodations for 500 students, faculty, and staff, with four floor plans that are designed to meet a student's needs. Most units are furnished and are fully electric. There are seven Resident Assistants who live on-site and are assigned to each building.

University Meadows also offers you numerous amenities at no additional charge, like basic cable TV, computer network ports, dishwasher, garbage disposal, icemakers, clubhouse, pool, limited access gates, sand volleyball court, barbeque pavilion, hot tub, and shuttle service to campus from the front gate. Social and educational programs are hosted every month for the residents by the RA's.
