Student parking permits are available at the cashier's office, 285 MSC and are valid for the current semester. It must be affixed immediately to the outside of the vehicle, rear window. Follow instructions on back of the sticker.
Carpool Parking Permits
Students who take advantage of the carpool program share the cost of parking fees.
Student Temporary Parking Passes
Temporary parking passes cost $10.00 per day for those students who did not purchase a student parking permit and carpool members. Students who purchased a current semester parking permit may obtain a temporary permit at NO EXTRA CHARGE. The temporary parking permits are available at the Parking & Transportation Department and the Cashier's Office.
Residential Life Parking Area
Oak Hall, Seton, Villa and Hollywood Park Apartment residents must purchase a student parking permit to get a complimentary residential parking permit.
University Meadows Parking Area
Residential permits are not valid elsewhere on campus. Students must purchase a student parking permit to park outside the residential area. Students with disabilities who wish to park a vehicle inside the University Meadows residential area are required to display a valid residential parking permit along with a state issued handicapped tag. University Meadows guests may request a guest permit at their office.
Handicapped Parking
UMSL Students with disabilities who wish to park a vehicle on campus must purchase a handicapped parking permit. The University issues handicapped parking permits to students who have either a copy of the form completed by the Missouri Department of Revenue or a signed statement from a healthcare provider on professional letterhead or prescription. Handicapped parking areas are enforced 24 hours a day including University holiday, semester breaks, and weekends.
Guest & Visitor Parking
Guests and visitors including student's family and friends must purchase a guest permit as the Parking & Transportation Office or the Cashier's office.
Metered Parking
Guests may use the parking meters for $0.50 per 50 minutes before 5:30 p.m. Vehicles displaying a UMSL parking permit may park at the meters after 5:30 p.m. without feeding the meter. Meters are good for 50 minutes and are available from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Traffic Ticket Appeals
Student traffic violations must appeal online. Please visit the Parking & Transportation website.
Campus Shuttles
Shuttle buses are available Monday through Thursday 7:26 a.m.-10:45 p.m. and Fridays 7:26 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A grocery shuttle bus is available every Friday at the main circle, except holidays, spring recess, intensive study days and semester closing days.
