The UMSL Fraternity & Sorority Life Community is home to three governing councils. These councils, listed below, oversee the operations of each of its member organizations, provide a variety of support programs for the chapters, ensure chapters are following council, community and campus policies and sponsor community-wide events.
Interfraternity Council (IFC)
One men's fraternity makes up the Interfraternity Council at UMSL. Fraternities are not just social groups, they are values-based organizations that challenge members to reach new levels of personal development. UMSL is currently home to Sigma Tau Gamma.
Multi-Greek Council (MGC)
The Multi-Greek Council (MGC) is made up of the organizations commonly known as the Divine 9 or NPHC. These organizations strive to uplift their communities and society as a whole often working within the local area and with youths encouraging success and persistence in school.
Panhellenic Association (PHA)
Panhellenic sororities encourage women to be the best version of themselves. At UMSL, we have three Panhellenic sororities - Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, and Zeta Tau Alpha.
