All of the Fraternity & Sorority Life programs and events are centered around these pillars. At UMSL we have several ways for you to make the most out of your experience.

Leadership Diversity & New Member Institute

The UMSL Leadership Diversity & New Member Institute is a student-led, student-run conference that is supported by the Office of Student Involvement annually during the fall semester. The focus is to engage and educate students by focusing on overall leadership topics regarding self, others and community values. 

Fraternity & Sorority Life Leaders Retreat

Each January, the leaders of the fraternity and sorority community have a chance to come together to learn about each other, the organizations they belong to, and plan for the future of the UMSL fraternity and sorority Community. During this retreat the leaders tackle big and small and learn about being a leader within the community.

Order of Omega

Order of Omega is an honor society for membrs of social fraternities and sororities. The purpose is to recognizse those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-fraternal activities. Membership is limited to the top 3% of the fraternity and sorority population. Order of Omega is responsible for the end of the year awards and banquet as well as the Leader of the Month award which recognizes a different fratenrity or sorority leader each month.

Greek Week

Greek Week is an annual series ofevents for the UMSL fraternities and sororities to showcase their pride and unity. Throughout the week the chapters compete in sporting events, trivia, window painting, community service, and philanthropy to see who will be crowned Greek Week Champion. This year the chapter collected over 2,000 pieces of food and 943 shoes to be donated to local charities and churches.

Mixer with UMSL Police

This event allows Fraternity and Sorority Life members the opportunity to speak with our UMSL Police Officers on topics, such as campus safety tips, current topics of public safety, and of course, some fun stories from the officers jobs.
