Megan M. Schacht, Ph.D.

Dr. Schacht is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor and the Manager of Clinical Operations with the Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. She attended graduate school in clinical psychology at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and received a doctoral degree with an emphasis in child clinical psychology. Dr. Schacht completed a pre-doctoral internship at Aurora Mental Health Center in Aurora, CO where she provided psychological services with the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient team who provided services to adolescents who were in foster care, recently hospitalized, or involved with juvenile justice. Dr. Schacht continues to provide direct clinical services to children and adolescents at Children’s Advocacy Services, but also serves as the agency’s Manager of Clinical Operations. She has special professional interest in the areas of complex trauma, sexual abuse, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Integrated Treatment of Complex Trauma (ITCT), Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS), psychological assessment of children and adolescents with trauma histories, general psychological assessment, and mental health administration.
