High School Student Volunteer Orientation
The Volunteer Orientation is a brief program conducted on a predetermined date once per month. This training is mandatory for all high school aged volunteers to attend prior to beginning any UM-St. Louis volunteer assignment.
Orientation topics include:
- Overview of the history of the University of Missouri system and its organizational structure.
- The Mission of the UM-St. Louis Volunteer Services Department
- Volunteer Training and Supervision
- Volunteer benefits, awards and services
- Volunteer Timesheet Completion
- Worker’s Compensation
- Volunteer Position Descriptions
- Open discussion/questions addressed

Please register for orientation at least 3 days before the scheduled date. If no one has pre-registered for an orientation, it may be rescheduled.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled orientation, please contact the office to make other arrangements.
