High School Student Volunteer Orientation
The Volunteer Orientation is a brief program conducted the second Thursday of every month. This training is mandatory for all high school aged volunteers to attend prior to beginning any UM-St. Louis volunteer assignment.
Orientation topics include:
- Overview of the history of the University of Missouri system and its organizational structure.
- The Mission of the UM-St. Louis Volunteer Services Department
- Volunteer Training and Supervision
- Volunteer benefits, awards and services
- Volunteer Timesheet Completion
- Worker’s Compensation
- Volunteer Position Descriptions
- Open discussion/questions addressed
A copy of the UM-St. Louis Volunteer Handbook will be given to all volunteers at the conclusion of this training.
