Volunteer Application Process
Volunteer Services looks forward to assisting you in identifying a volunteer
position that best matches your interests, skills and availability.

The application packets are in an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) document. If you are interested in downloading this file, but do not have Adobe Acrobat, you can download the program now for free.
- Upon receipt of the application, our office will contact you to arrange a Volunteer Placement Interview with the Volunteer Coordinator, at which time a volunteer’s skills
and talents will be assessed and matched with an open volunteer opportunity. All high school aged volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation Session prior to beginning their service. Sessions are held on
a regular basis to ensure that all new volunteers are informed of UM-St.
Louis’ policies and advised of their benefits as volunteers.
- Volunteer assignments are made based on current departmental needs. Both short and long term volunteer opportunities are posted on the Volunteer Services website.
All volunteer assignments will be coordinated and distributed through the
office of Volunteer Services. Once placed, volunteers will report directly
to the management of departments where they are assigned.
