These four letters, RSVP, are found on most invitations, but what exectly do they stand for? RSVP stands for a French phrase, "repondez, s'il vous plait," meaning "please reply." What this is telling the person sending the invitation if you will accept or decline the invitation. Most contempory invitations use the host's telephone number so guests can call with their reply, but according to strict etiquette rules, a written invitation required a written reply. Some believe the French abbreviation was adopted because many Western etiquette practices came from the court of King Louis XIV.

Flag Etiquette - How to properly display the flag indoors
When on display, the flag is accorded the place of honor, always positioned to its own right. Place it to the right of the speaker or staging area. Other flags should be placed to the left.
The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of states, localities or societies are grouped for display.

Table Settings - How to properly set a table from basic to formal
Setting a table is not as difficult as it seems. The basic rule is: Utensils are placed in the order of use, that is, from the outside in. A second rule, with only a few exceptions is: forks go to the left of the plate, and knives and spoons go to the right.
