DETAILS
"What I See" will feature self portraits created by rural school children in Sri Lanka. The exhibit is a special fundraising event for the University of Missouri-St. Louis Operation Teardrop Campaign, and will feature a silent auction of the children’s artwork and a handmade quilt.

An opening reception will be from 4 to 7 p.m. May 8 in the gallery. Light refreshments will be served.

The Operation Teardrop Campaign is a collaborative effort by faculty, staff and students at UMSL, as well as the St. Louis community, which is designed to bring educational opportunities to impoverished school children in Sri Lanka. Proceeds from the Gallery Visio fundraiser will be used to create an environmental education and recycling program at the campaign’s sponsored school.
