UMSL percussion ensembles to perform at Touhill

DETAILS
University of Missouri-St. Louis Percussion Ensemble and UMSL Afro-Cuban Ensemble will present a concert of percussion music from around the world. Performances will cover the percussion styles of classical, Afro-Cuban, jazz, minimalism, ragtime and West African. The ensembles will perform pieces by Terry Riley, G.H. Green, Johann Sebastian Bach, Duke Ellington and Miles Davis.

The concert will feature Lorenzo Trujillo, lecturer in music at UMSL, on trumpet. Matt Henry, lecturer in music at UMSL, directs both ensembles, which consist of 10 students.
