Pierre Laclede Society
The Pierre Laclede Society is the university’s annual giving club, named in honor of one of St. Louis’ founders. Members assist the University of Missouri-St. Louis in achieving its mission of offering a quality, affordable public education by providing crucial financial assistance. The following membership levels are open to all alumni and friends:
$1,000 Member
$2,500 Fellow
$5,000 Benefactor
$10,000 Patron
$25,000 The Committee of 28 Founders Circle
$100,000 Auguste Chouteau Society (total lifetime giving)
PLS level gifts are a crucial source of unrestricted funds. While endowments and capital projects ensure long-term stability, annual gifts support current operations and help the university address immediate needs. Donors can still designate each gift to the academic area or program of their choice. Some common options include student scholarships, faculty support and resources such as the libraries, technology labs and student enrichment programs.
The university is extremely thankful for its generous donors. A variety of special events and benefits are available to PLS members in gratitude for everything they do:
- Invitations to attend an annual performance at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center
- Recognition in the Distinguished Contributors annual report
- Invitations to select university events and lectures
- Scholarship sponsors are invited to attend the scholarship reception
- Special discounted membership fee at Norwood Hills Country Club
- A members-only annual holiday party with the chancellor
-
Campus parking privileges
