Bob Spencer created his own UM-St. Louis legacy

Bob SpencerBob Spencer, BA 1972, has been solving complex math problems since his days as a student in the Department of Math and Computer Science at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. But Bob didn't need his mathematical background to know that a charitable remainder unitrust provides significant financial advantages.

“I'm enjoying tax benefits and income for life, and I'm proud of the legacy I've established at the university,” he said.

Bob created two charitable remainder unitrusts that will benefit the university's math department.

“I owe my professional success to the excellent education I received at UM-St. Louis,” Bob said. “It was time to give back, and I'm excited to have this opportunity.”
