Maya Scruggs, Transfer Coordinator

Maya Scruggs, joined Office of Admissions at the University of Missouri - St. Louis in August 2002 as a Campus Tour Guide. She obtained a B.A in Communication in May 2004 from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and a M.A in Organizational Communication in May of 2007 from UMSL.

Maya was promoted to Telecounselor Coordinator in the Office of Admissions. She joined the Office of Transfer Services in January 2007, in her new role as Transfer Coordinator.Maya’s primary responsibility is to assist students at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley& Florissant Valley and Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) with making the transition to UM-St. Louis. She also recruits heavily throughout areas of Missouri and Illinois.

In her spare time she enjoys partaking in culturally enhancing activities. Maya appreciates the arts as well, particularly theater, film, and music.
